The "Observatoire des Territoires" provides a selection of regularly updated mapped indicators, representing the dynamics and disparities between local areas in France and Europe.

The indicators can be accessed in three different ways :
by key challenge, the indicators are shown in terms of the dynamics of development, spatial cohesion, public policies and local territories presenting specific challenges
by territory, the indicators are presented in European, French and regional contexts
open access, the indicators "as is" by category: infrastructures, population, employment, living conditions, environment, etc.

The maps are interactive, allowing the user to adjust the display as needed: zoom in/out, zoning territories, two indicators superimposed, etc. They can be printed and downloaded. In addition, the indicator values can be accessed directly on the maps or in the form of tables for printing, and can be downloaded if not subject to reproduction rights.

Each indicator also includes :
metadata, definitions and sources
on-line reference documents
links to resource centres that produce and distribute more detailed figures.
